It's my dad's birthday! He's the best dad...ever, so this post is for him. Dad taught me so many things. He taught me to make time for the important things. He has a very demanding job and church calling, but he was always at my games, recitals, events, etc. It meant so much to me. When dad would drive us to the bus stop or to school, he would always say, "Isn't it going to be a great day? It's going to be such a great day!" I love his optimism. Everyday when dad came home from work, he would always have a smile on his face. I'm sure he had hard days, but he never showed it. He never raised his voice or got angry. My friends would always tell me I had the perfect dad. It's true! He showed me what I should be looking for when I was dating. He opened every door for my mom and for us girls. He is a serious genius at math-seriously, and I hate math. Dad would help me for hours with it. I would whine, but he stuck with me. He told me I could do anything if I worked for it. He taught me the difference between needs and wants. He taught me that the Courtyard Hotel and Towne Place Suites were both by Marriott but catered to different markets. I was fascinated and have loved marketing ever since. :) You taught me to pray. I think every time I walked to your room, I would see you on your knees. Thanks, dad...for everything. I LOVE YOU!!!!
