Getting my haircut is the bane of my existence. Top nine reasons why.
1.) Time. No time to get it done.
2.) Money. Spending the money to get it done is so annoying.
3.) Straight or curly. How do I wear my hair when I get it done? Each hair stylist has their own opinion, and I feel like I do it the wrong way each time I get it done.
4.) Style. I feel like I can get a haircut that is cute if I always do it straight or if I always do it curly but rarely both. Even though it's curly 90% of the time, I like to spice up my life every once in a while!
5.) Small Talk. Is it more awkward to ask them personal details about their life or sit in silence? I definitely ask questions but try to avoid answering any myself.
6.) Getting ready. Do I get ready and go, do I wake up and go, do I shower and go with my hair wet? Sometimes I go for a run, see there's no line, and get it done when I'm all gross. I don't think they like that very much.
7.) Mirror. Whose idea is this? It would be stellar if they turn me around, so I don't have to stare at myself the whole time, especially since they look gorgeous, and I usually just wake up and go over there.
8.) Tip. How much do you tip? And what's the basis of the tip? How fast they were? How talkative they were? If you like the haircut? It's all so subjective. I think I always over-tip, cause I don't know what to do, or maybe I under-tip! I don't even know
9.) How often. I haven't cut my hair since Christmas. Is it about time? :) Probably.

ditto on all those... once this lady asked me how many kids I had, and I was like, how old do you think I am lady?
Haha! You are so cute Julie! I bet most hairstyles don't even know that their job can cause such a complex! My advice is to have a friend who is in the business to do it. Alot of your issues are resolved. Anyways, good luck! :)
Julie, You are so right on everything--I thought I was the only one who ever thought everyone of those thoughts (although, I don't have the curly problem.) I haven't seen you guys forever--How are you both anyway?
Amen my friend!!! One of the biggest benefits of going to dark hair is that I never have to get color touch-up cause I DREAD it too!!
I LOVE IT!! I have been thinking of these things (-the curly hair thing) because I'm growing out my hair but it still needs styled and such and it's at such an awkward stage that I just look like a dork everywhere I go... but anyways I want something that looks cute up or down, and I want it colored but I'm afraid of people killing my hair... I have a few friends that I know that are really good at it but it takes like a month to get in with them, so I don't have time to do that! So how do I find someone good at it, that I don't have to spill my lifes story too, and can get me into see them in a reasonable time?! So when you find something out let me know! haha (I'm going back blonde and want to do it soon!)
I'm with you Julz! I only get my haircut about 2x a year, and everytime I go to the salon to get it cut, I always get comments about how smooth my hair feels AFTER they cut it. Maybe that's a sign that I should do it more often? But then I'll refer you back to your list.
I agree with your list 100 percent (minus the curly hair part)! I am going to get to the bottom of this...
haha i totally agree... i get mine cute literally once a year.. IF that. haha. theres just too much going on to go every couple months like they suggest! sheesh!
