YES! (At least I hope so, because I GRADUATE IN APRIL!!!) I'm so excited, and I'm slightly terrified wondering what I'm going to do with myself! For the past 2+ years, Landon and I have gone to school and work all day and then studied all evening. Now, I'm going to work all day and when I come home, he'll be studying all evening. WHAT AM I GOING TO DO? I have a couple ideas, but I need more, so if you have any suggestions, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
1.) New Hobbies to Try:
-Cake Decorating: There's a class, and I'm taking it! Anyone want to join me? :)
-Gardening: Hopefully this one will turn out better than last year's!
-Painting: I've never tried it before, but I really really want to, so I might take a class.
-Canning: I'm going to learn how!
2.) Read:
-I've made a list of classics that I want to read, but I need suggestions! All genres! Anything about European or world history? I especially love that stuff.
3.) Spend more time on my favorite hobbies: Scrapbooking, singing, running, and playing piano
4.) Also, my house is going to be SO CLEAN! I kind of get giddy about cleaning and organizing. Right now, I make time for it but only because I'm slightly OCD, but come April, I'm going to have the luxury of spending a TON of obsessive time on it. I'm talkin labeling and plastic binning! Straight up organized heaven! HOO-RAH!
5.) Any other brilliant plans for me? (Please don't suggest sewing. I tried it, and I failed.) But all other suggestions would be MUCH APPRECIATED!

Play with your good friend, Renae!
Julie, you are so funny. I'm excited for your cake decorating class. That'll be fun. Definitely do a garden! Fresh veggies are the best thing in the whole world! And then spend more time on your hobbies like reading, running, scrapbooking and piano. Definitely take time for yourself when you graduate. You deserve it!
That all sounds great! Where are you taking the cake class? Is that a BYU class?
Are you on Goodreads? That is my favorite place to find book recommendations. Here is a list of all the books I've read recently.
I am in the same boat right now, trying to decide what to do with my time when I stop working. Family history and emergency preparedness are on the top of my list.
COMING TO VISIT ME!!!!!!!!! May I suggest investing in a Wii! So fun and you can exercise as well. I dont like reading very much so I cant suggest any books :( but I have a ton of movie suggestions that do not start with gilmore and end in girls. Try baking bacon in the oven! It is fantastic! Im excited to see your organization ideas for your home. I think you should start a blog about that!
get a wii!! so much fun! and the wii fit rocks!!! seriously it's great:) and maybe get into a soccer team again and play:) that would be fun!
I should be an expert on this because half our marriage I've felt like I didn't have a husband he studies so much! I've been thinking lately that I need to find a hobby too! Cake decorating sounds fun! So far my only hobby is the cleaning and organizing I don't think my closets could be any cleaner I do actually love it but I need to get more of a life haha. And I love your comment about not accepting any sewing suggestions haha
Time Magazine has a top 100 books of all time, in high school we had to use that list to read a book and do a report, i made the goal to read them all but that hasn't happened yet, but will if i have anything to say about it.
Painting is fun! Trust me, I'm an art major. I'm taking an oil painting class right now and just got done with a watercolor one. If you need any advice, you can always ask me. :) I know where to get the best supplies.
JULIE!! I am totally for doing a cake decorating class!!! Where do I sign up? Hopefully it hasnt started already!! Give me the details! Cant wait!!
