California Adventure

So we partied in Cali for a week, and it was AMAZING!

And Landon got a bunch of sand in his ears
And we hung out at this GORGEOUS pier (And we didn't plan on matching I swear. It just happens)
And we saw people who had dog carriers that looked like strollers!!! And you can't really see it, because I was kind of far away when I took this picture but WEIRD!
And it was really bright
And we saw the STUNNING San Diego Temple
And I found my dream house that I'm quite sure Landon can build no problem :)
And he liked it, so he chose to put a ring on it :)
And had a California Adventure
And partied in the happiest place on earth (And I'm not short; I just married tall!)

And paid respect to the girl with SKILLS!
And she's my favorite
And went to the Chinese Theater in Hollywood
And celebrated Landon's 24th birthday!!! 24 seems so much older than 23!!!
And isn't the castle beautiful???
And saw Tinkerbell and her friends' little houses!
And Tink said she liked my shirt
And I told her I liked her dress!
And I'm a little obsessed with the spinny rides
And Landon pulled really hard
And kids, don't try this at home
And of course we saw this sweet show
And isn't this the best sign in the world?
And we went through Sleeping Beauty's castle, and it's true, she is THE BEST DISNEY PRINCESS EVER
And the castle is STUNNING at night
And life is good.

Ward Camp out

We went to the ward camp out last weekend and had a blast! Landon used his dutch oven and camping cooking skills to feed the masses. It was so much fun!

Devotional

Cowboy poetry

Relief Society skit, "That Don't Impress Me Much" by Shania Twain with the words changed to scripture characters-good times for all.

Gender Stereotype Day

This Saturday I enlisted the help of Landon's mom to teach me to make table runners and homemade rolls to accomplish some of my summer goals. We spent the day finding fabric, sewing, and baking. It was great fun. I haven't touched a sewing machine since the the hedgehog incident in Home Ec seven years ago, so this was an auspicious moment for me. It was a great reminder that I really don't like to sew, but I really enjoy the final product!

The boys spent the day building things, going to Sportsman's Warehouse, golfing, etc. It was really fun! Thanks again for teaching me your skills, Lori!
And, side note: I've finished lots of my summer goals so far. I read the Standing for Something and Eclipse. The garden is still alive (We just got a pepper, some strawberries, and tomatoes). I've been going running with my sister, and we went and saw some live jazz in this beautiful garden. It was perfect. Hopefully I can finish some more of these things before school starts again in the fall! Wahoo!

Fourth of July Family Reunion

Every year for the Fourth of July, my mom's side of the family gets together in this tiny little town in Wyoming where she grew up (Seriously, no stoplights, ONE main street) for the best family reunion EVER!

We always go to the town's mud volleyball tournament and this year we had a family 5K Run which was a blast! The air is so clean there and the scenery is gorgeous! Perfect for running!

Our team

My sister and I at the rancher's rodeo!

They had events like doctoring a calf, loading a trailer, riding on a horse with groceries, milking a wild cow, it was amazing but pretty scary! Those animals were out of control!

My two cute cousins went down there to try and catch a calf! Except they were huge! They did such a good job!

We had the sweetest backyard fireworks show! Wyoming=no illegal fireworks! It was sweet!

There were 36 of us in my grandparents' house. There were people sleeping all over the house, plus 3 hotel rooms, plus 2 tents outside. Landon and I were in a tent, in the rain, with loud fireworks exploding outside, but it was SO fun!

The milk can dinner can feed us all and is SOOO DELICIOUS!
You put potatoes, corn, onions, ham, and/or sausage in a milk can. Top it with cabbage, pour water over it, and heat it up until it's done. It ROCKS.

I don't know this guy, but it was the perfect Americana Kodak moment!

My adorable cousins watching the parade

"A parade so nice you see it twice!" It goes up one side of the street and down the other and still lasts less than 30 minutes!

BUT-there's always A TON of candy! When we were younger, we used to ride the fire truck and throw candy to people. It was sweet.
The outdoor movie idea died cause it was raining, so we brought it to the basement and watched Enchanted. I LOVE that movie!

The little boys loved Landon. He got attacked all weekend and was totally outnumbered. Bridger would fly through the air to jump on him, while the others would hang on hims arms and legs. When he got the chance, he would grab them under each of his arms, and wrestle until they were ALL exhausted. Good times.

Family Iron Chef Competition-of course Landon's group made a bundt cake!

The winners!
Each team got four ingredients and had to make a masterpiece.

Our team made crepes! YUM!

Amanda jumped out of the car to get the scavenger hunt clues! Too bad the car was still moving! :) She got pretty scraped up!

Our team took second in the scavenger hunt!
Bridger attacked Steve-wedgie and all. The perfect ending to the wedding!

The girls threw a wedding for their stuffed animals!
Natalie caught the bouquet! The perfect ending to a beautiful wedding: Bridger attacked Steven, complete with wedgie. It was the best of entertainment. Basically, I LOVE our reunions. We have so much fun, and we do it in the most beautiful town in the world. Landon is obsessed with the town, too. I think he might love it even more than I do...no, not possible. We love it equally. :)
