So our ward does this spotlight where each week in Relief Society you get a paragraph on a different sister in the ward. The writer is hilarious. This is her synopsis of me.
This curly haired beauty is hitched to the fiery haired Landon. The two make a dynamic duo! The love birds met in the library and they even recall being in the same EFY group years earlier. Landon made an impression after a few weeks of dating when he asked “Could I have the honor of having you as my first kiss?” This sweetness got Julie hooked but she put up a good fight and made the boy work for his kiss. Landon and Julie were married during midterm week on February 15, 2008. Julie is the queen of decorating and she excels in all her advertising classes. This running soccer star and scrapbooking political guru can even sing and play the piano! You can catch her in action in the ward choir. Julie has been spotted busting moves during the ward campout. Julie’s amazing spirituality and compassion makes her a delight to have in the ward!

Ward Camp out
We went to the ward camp out last weekend and had a blast! Landon used his dutch oven and camping cooking skills to feed the masses. It was so much fun!
Relief Society skit, "That Don't Impress Me Much" by Shania Twain with the words changed to scripture characters-good times for all.

Gender Stereotype Day
This Saturday I enlisted the help of Landon's mom to teach me to make table runners and homemade rolls to accomplish some of my summer goals. We spent the day finding fabric, sewing, and baking. It was great fun. I haven't touched a sewing machine since the the hedgehog incident in Home Ec seven years ago, so this was an auspicious moment for me. It was a great reminder that I really don't like to sew, but I really enjoy the final product!
The boys spent the day building things, going to Sportsman's Warehouse, golfing, etc. It was really fun! Thanks again for teaching me your skills, Lori!
And, side note: I've finished lots of my summer goals so far. I read the Standing for Something and Eclipse. The garden is still alive (We just got a pepper, some strawberries, and tomatoes). I've been going running with my sister, and we went and saw some live jazz in this beautiful garden. It was perfect. Hopefully I can finish some more of these things before school starts again in the fall! Wahoo!

Fourth of July Family Reunion
Every year for the Fourth of July, my mom's side of the family gets together in this tiny little town in Wyoming where she grew up (Seriously, no stoplights, ONE main street) for the best family reunion EVER!

We always go to the town's mud volleyball tournament and this year we had a family 5K Run which was a blast! The air is so clean there and the scenery is gorgeous! Perfect for running!

Our team

My sister and I at the rancher's rodeo!
My two cute cousins went down there to try and catch a calf! Except they were huge! They did such a good job!
The milk can dinner can feed us all and is SOOO DELICIOUS!
"A parade so nice you see it twice!" It goes up one side of the street and down the other and still lasts less than 30 minutes!
BUT-there's always A TON of candy! When we were younger, we used to ride the fire truck and throw candy to people. It was sweet.
The little boys loved Landon. He got attacked all weekend and was totally outnumbered. Bridger would fly through the air to jump on him, while the others would hang on hims arms and legs. When he got the chance, he would grab them under each of his arms, and wrestle until they were ALL exhausted. Good times.
Amanda jumped out of the car to get the scavenger hunt clues! Too bad the car was still moving! :) She got pretty scraped up!
Bridger attacked Steve-wedgie and all. The perfect ending to the wedding!
The girls threw a wedding for their stuffed animals!
Natalie caught the bouquet!
