Thanksgiving Festivities

Thanksgiving break was SO GREAT! It was wonderful to get away from school for a few days. School has taken over our lives a wee bit which has severely hindered my blogging, but the semester will be over soon and all will be well!
My cousin Bryan married this cool girl named Holly in the Draper Temple. Because of that, we has Thanksgiving with my mom's side of the family which I can't remember ever happening before, and we had so much fun!

All of us girls got to squish in the backseat :)
We played a little volleyball with my dad's side of the fam...
And then a little basketball. That's definitely grandma going in for the tip-off!
Pretty sure everyone on the Miller side is taller than my family. What's with THAT?
I think this is the moment when Kendra accidentally threw the ball at my face. I told her it didn't hurt...I lied :)
Don't mess with grandma and her mad b-ball skills!

HomeComing Dance!!!

We went to the HomeComing Dance with our friends the Alveys and had SO MUCH FUN!

Aren't they so cute?
Andrea did my hair (just like old times), I wore my little sister's dress (SOO PRETTY), and yes, I'm wearing the tallest shoes I own and he's still way tall lol!
And the cutest part of the night...when we were out to dinner, a young dad came up to me and said that his little girl thought I was a princess! He asked me to come say hi to her. She was ADORABLE!!! Totally MADE MY NIGHT!!! TOO CUTE!

Fall Fun!

One of my favorite fall things is going to the corn maze! We had a blast going this weekend with our friends the Sextons! There were lots of random things there, like

ENORMOUS pumpkins,

corn guns,
wild animals,
big green tractors,
and barns made of pumpkins!
It was so much fun!
On Saturday, Landon and his dad went on a hiking and fishing adventure. Turns out, there's a lot of snow in the mountains, so they didn't get any fishing done, but they sure enjoyed the scenery!
Where was I, do you ask? In the library, where I'll be permanently, as I have four tests in the next four days. I love my life.

FAQ

*How do you say your last name?
-Liz-un-bee

(One of two responses:)
*I've never heard of THAT one before! OR...
*Are you related to a...
-The answer to this is always yes. If there's another Lisonbee around, especially in the Utah area, I can pretty much guarantee there's a relation. I mean, how many Lisonbees do YOU know?

*Where does that name come from?
-We have no idea. It just showed up in America one day, but don't worry, lots of people are trying to figure it out. (People usually try to guess at this point. I've heard French, Irish, German, basically everything. Good times).

Having a unique name is entertainment for hours. People say it wrong all the time, ask if they said it right, and I just say yes. It's all good. I know, it's a trick. I will say it's quite entertaining that most of the ladies who married into the Lisonbee name have very normal maiden names. I mean, mine is Miller, there is also Smith, Young, Nelson, etc. etc. I think once the Lisonbee fellas hear a normal last name, they decide to pounce. I should also mention that the women whose maiden name is Lisonbee married into names like Stone and Brown. I love it.
